Mr Potato

I cooked mashed Potato today!!!

It was during this company event that I got a chance to do my own cooking~! So cool.... I kinda like the feeling of preparing my own meal! Can you imagine that? A good husband who can cook and provide for his family? =] Is this the type of guy you girls would yearn to have? ;) ha.

Anyway this event that I attended is called CPE (Corporate Planning Exercise). In this CPE we would be discussing about how we did and what we are to expect in the near future in our work. Oh yes, I also received an award titled the 'Minister for Manpower Award' together with many of the EPOL team colleagues for contributing in the development of the new EPOL system. Pretty cool aint it =] You bet.

During the whole of today's event I also got the chance to go up ('to the stage') to 'present' twice. The first time being, after the first dish we create, we have to tell the people present what it meant and why we named it the way we named it. And the name of our Vietnam Spring roll dish is Mei Qui (Rose). I described each petal, made of spring roll as each of the team member who contributed in making the dish, forming the beautiful flower, growing and working together as one beautiful entity in achieving our goals.

The next time i went up to speak is when we were to draw an image to represent each of the alphabet in the word C.A.R.E. C = Competent, A = Accessible, R = Responsive, E = Effective. As a team, we came out with ideas on what image we would like to draw to represent each of the alphabet. In the end, for C, we drew President Obama, A, I drew Toilet paper, R = my colleague Peggy drew Badminton Racket and shuttle cock, and E, I drew the Superman logo. Fun sums it all up~

Boxing
Training has been great although it has taken it's toll on me, well, atleast a little. I have been training for almost every other day other than my actual classes on Monday and Wednesday. I'd do stretching for an hour plus, else it would be gym or run to become stronger.

All this commitment i put into my training does pay off though. Just yesterday, I had a valuable lesson from my coaches, especially coach Sri on sharing of some of his secret techniques and footwork. During sparring I fared well and lasted 3 sparring partners, coming on top before ending my sparring session. I also had sparring on Monday. Taking and giving punches become part and parcel of my training but I am happy. As long as I know I am improving every single day/second I am happy.

On the 14 I shall aim for a Victory to repay what my coaches had done to help me develop as a boxer.
